We’re all a hockey family. We’re all connected in some way. We may not like the same players, or the same team…but we’re all here for the same game. We adore the same sport.
We don’t always get along, we have our arguments and disagreements. That’s what families do, they argue. We don’t choose family.
Yes, we have family members that we literally can’t stand. Doesn’t most? Those are just the relatives we try to avoid on the holidays.
No family is perfect.
We defend our teams like they’re family. We defend our favorite players like they’re our brothers. Our favorite teams/players are like that special relative that’s always been there for us.
All us fans, we’re like siblings. We lose a game, we go through it together. We win a game, we celebrate together. Again, we might not all get along all the time, we’ll argue.
This week, we had a huge loss in the hockey world. We all stopped and came together. It didn’t matter what team we favored, who we didn’t like, and what argument was going on. We all stopped in that moment, and supported each other. We cried together, and we knew we had each other to lean on.
This may sound really cheesy, and maybe you don’t all feel the same. But, I wanted to take a second and say I love my hockey family on here. I don’t say it enough. You’re all amazing, and I’m very thankful for you all. I love you, my Hockey Family. <3
